The patented E-Z Bore System is a true line boring set-up in reference to the journals of the crank shaft. As seen in the cut away, line-up is accomplished by means of a line up bar, which projects a true 90 degrees to the journal of the crankshaft.*This line up bar has an expanding pilot which makes a rigid connection between the lower bearing support and the bar.

The design of the E-Z Bore system produces a supperior finish which is free of tool chatter or deflection. This is accomplished by a 1" diameter alloy steel bar and a lower bearing support which houses the end of the bar throughout the entire boring operation. This Rigid construction is coupled to a smooth hydraulic feed system which has a fixed rate of .004" per revolution.
